Dear colleagues
Two vacancies for photographers are available within Cambridge
University Library's Digital Content Unit, which creates high-quality
digital images of manuscripts, rare books, photographs and maps, from
the Library’s world-class collections
(http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/deptserv/imagingservices/).
The unit meets the needs of scholars and publishers as well as
undertaking larger projects based around its important collections - it
is currently digitising manuscripts by Charles Darwin and Siegfried
Sassoon alongside early Sanskrit and Japanese texts. It is very well
equipped, including high-end digital SLR cameras, scanning backs, and
overhead book scanners.
