Thx for clarifying, Mićo.
Indeed, training students from all over the world is going to be a challenge. One way of facing this will be our 'communication clinics' where students are individually assessed according to their communication strengths and weaknesses. This is meant to enable the trainer to provide a tailored 1:1 language coaching in writing and speaking of approximately 150 hrs over the course of the three years.
Additionally every student will have to do a 6-months work-placement in an English-speaking country or collect 30 credits in a degree programme abroad. Furthermore the language requirements for our course are quite high, and we can 'cherry-pick' the 50 most talented and motivated students from at least 1,000 expected applicants, instead of having to choose on the basis of school marks or their parent’s purses.
This opportunity particularly for the less wealthy / privileged applicants from ‘the south’ will hopefully result in a uniquely multicultural student cohort, which is also why the curriculum includes several ‘comparative’ modules with an explicitly non-Eurocentric approach. Whether this reduces the level of ‘Oxford English’ in class, does not worry me too much, I must admit. ;-)
