Re Bedpostx and Probtrackx
I have multiple subjects (18, 9 patients, 9 controls) . I have completed a tbss_sym analysis and now plan to run tractography. Based on the FDT user guide, in the absence of an SGE-capable system, Bedpostx is run for each subject separately (using previously processed data.nii.gz, nodif_brain_mask, bvecs files).
I assume that once each subject’s Bepostx processing is completed, probractx will also need to be run separately using each subject’s Bedpost directory output, as demonstrated in the fdt practical.
After seed(s), perhaps waypoint, and target in established, it seems that the number of sample fibres that reach the target mask indicates spatial extent (probability) of the tracts connecting the seed and its target – more samples means more fibers reaching the target. Is this correct?
For consistency, presumably each subject would need to be tested using the same seeds, waypoints and targets.
Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you
