Six month full time internship with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. As part of a small office team, this will be an excellent opportunity for someone with a commitment to refugee issues who wishes to gain considerable first-hand experience in fundraising. The internship is full-time and will last for six months. Regular responsibilities will include processing donations and maintaining the donor database, organising newsletter mailouts, drafting thank you letters, assisting in organising appeals and researching trust and corporate donors.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Excellent research skills
- Database experience
- An ability to prioritise their workload and meet deadlines
- A pro-active approach to work
The position is an exciting opportunity to work in fundraising for a United Nations agency and is ideally suited to someone with an interest in asylum, refugee issues or humanitarian affairs.
