This special issue aims at providing a platform to researchers in
sharing their knowledge and experience regarding novel and impactful
designs for intelligent healthcare systems. Given the interdisciplinary
nature of the field, we welcome original contributions from computer
science and information technology researchers as well as health care
practitioners or public health scientists. Topics of interests include
(but are not limited to):
- Acquisition, management and visualization of health data
- Clinical decision support systems
- Healthcare communication networks and environments
- Healthcare modeling and simulation
- Intelligent health records
- Management of workflow and capacity
- Medical data mining
- Ontologies in healthcare
- Patient care, monitoring and diagnosis
- Tele-health and tele-monitoring
All submissions will be peer reviewed subject to the standards of the
journal. Manuscripts based on already published conference papers must
include at least 50% new material, and the authors should explain how
such papers have been extended. Submitted papers will be reviewed by at
least two independent reviewers.
