Students and Early-Career Professionals…
If you are a student or an early-career professional and are considering
attending the International Data and Information Management Conference
(IDIMC), taking place in Loughborough on 17th September 2014 you may be
eligible for a grant from the UK eInformation Group (UKeiG) of CILIP.
The UKeiG grant may not cover all of your travel/accommodation and
conference costs as there is a maximum figure for UK conferences of £250
but it would certainly help!
It is a condition of winning that a short ‘conference report’ is
presented for publication in the Group’s newsletter, eLucidate.
Full details and information on how to apply can be found on
http://www.ukeig.org.uk/awards/student-conference-grant.
The theme of this year’s IDIMC conference is ‘making connections’ to
reflect the interconnected nature of data, knowledge creation and
information management. Further information about the conference, which
is being run by Centre for Information Management at Loughborough
University, in collaboration with the British Computer Society Data
Management Specialist Group, can be found at: http://idimc.org/.
