Dear colleagues,
Two forthcoming workshops may be of interest to list members:
Visual Arts Data Skills for Researchers Workshops
These sessions will introduce the essentials of good research data
management. Research data management is a general term covering how you
organise, structure, store, and care for the information used or
generated during a research project. The effective management of
research data saves time and effort and mitigates the risk of having to
re-do research from scratch.
The workshops will be highly interactive and will explore the nature of
'research data' in the creative arts context, its importance, and the
basic principles and reasons for data curation and preservation. They
will also introduce participants to the creation of a research data
management plan and the requirements of the Arts and Humanities Research
Council (AHRC) Technical Summary and Plan.
The workshops are open to research candidates (PhD/MPhil), researchers,
library and research support staff across Higher Education institutions
in the UK.
We would be grateful if you could circulate this to research students
and staff at your institution who may be interested in participating,
and in particular to those who are AHRC-funded.

Arts in partnership with Falmouth University and Glasgow School of Art.
