There's a library advocacy Kickstarter, which aims to produce a useful
book, images, cards and more. It's at:
http://is.gd/LibraryKickstarter
... and it's currently not far off the first funding goal.
It's better to follow the link and read what the project will do,
watch the video, and examine what backers get back. A few other points:
- You can pledge from a small amount (in the UK, £1) upwards, and the
amount you pledge isn't publicly visible.
- The more you pledge, the more goodies e.g. books, cards, you get
back from the project.
- There are "stretch rewards", so if pledges significantly exceed
£2,000 within the 30 days, the project commits to additional advocacy
activities.
- If you're not in the UK, it's still good - you can still pledge and
get the goodies.
- Libraries are good. But you probably knew that anyway :) This
project will help make others aware that libraries are good, and why
they are good.
Anyway, here's the link again :)
