Think visual: video storytelling in education

This new and innovative one-day course on the teaching role of video is essential for anyone interested in using video in a teaching environment.
Presented by Catherine Chambers, Commissioning Producer at the Open University, this course will provide participants with a clear understanding of how and why to use a visual as opposed to a text-based approach in teaching.
Attendees will gain an understanding of the following:
Why video is an important tool for learning and teaching
What makes a good video for teaching and learning purposes
Different approaches to video according to teaching use
How video works with the rest of your material
Catherine Chambers commissions short form content across all subject areas for multiple platforms, including iTunes and YouTube. Prior to that, she worked for the BBC in radio and video production.
