Dear colleagues
We’re pleased to announce the release of the beta version of Historical Texts, the new platform for Jisc Historic Books, for community testing and feedback.
All institutions who currently subscribe to Jisc Historic Books have been granted access automatically. You can login directly from its new permanent website address below or via a login button on the Jisc Historic Books homepage (http://jischistoricbooks.ac.uk<http://jischistoricbooks.ac.uk/>).

As it’s currently still in development, not all of the data and features are available yet, but you can try the interface and we would really appreciate your feedback on it. At the moment it contains most of EEBO, most of ECCOII and around half of ECCO.
Historical Texts provides a range of exciting new features and there will be more to come over the summer. A flyer and poster are available to promote it:

A3 poster: http://www.jischistoricbooks.ac.uk/files/HT-BETA-A3-Poster.pdf
Historical Texts will replace Jisc Historic Books on 1 June 2014. It will run in parallel to Jisc Historic Books initially until access to Jisc Historic Books is switched off on 23 June 2014.
We hope you like the new platform and we look forward to hearing your views on it, so please do contact [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> to let us know what you think.
Kind regards
Susan
