Collaborative Working - Dion Lindsay, Wednesday 11 June 2014, London
Venue: CILIP, 7 Ridgmount Street, London, WC1E 7AE
Date: Wednesday, 11 June, 2014 - 09:30 - 16:30
Course Outline:
Many employers feel collaboration in their organisation is not good enough.
But there is a risk that the adoption of collaborative technology, without
either strong evidence of current activity or a model of how collaboration
works, will have little impact on organisational performance.
This workshop will start out by examining the way in which people work
together in organisations and what makes the process of collaboration
different to other team activities before looking in more detail at the
elements of a collaboration technology strategy.
The objective of the workshop will be to provide participants with the
information needed to get the best from current technology by understanding
the basic principles of collaborative working, and to be able to define the
requirements for any additional technology investment.
Who should attend:
Information professionals in middle and senior management positions in
public and private sector organisations who wish to advance the effective
exploitation and management of electronic information. It will enable them
to:
Identify opportunities where improvements in information services need
to be well managed and delivered
Experiment with a range of change management and marketing techniques
Develop draft marketing and/or change management plans for a proactive
approach to their challenges
The course is designed for anyone who has a current or planned
responsibility for encouraging collaboration in their workplace, whether
from the library, information centre or intranet or technology departments.
