Hi,
Why not just remove every xrootd component from UMD repos and use EPEL
for installaing xrootd as this is the official source. Things both in
EPEL and UMD have already been a source of pain (in particular because
they often have conflicting requirements)... Having xrootd in UMD had a
sense when there was no official RPMs for xrootd but there are now since
at least one year...
