See below for details of a Patient Information Forum event
PiF (the Patient Information Forum) is holding a 1-day event on Thursday 5 June in Manchester on developing accessible health information for hard to reach groups.
This in-depth seminar day will bring together speakers from NHS England, with patient groups and community representatives. It will cover emerging policies and standards for delivering accessible information and overcoming health inequalities, along with practical sessions that focus on understanding and engaging communities, and best practice examples of approaches to developing health information support for different communities.
The day begins with presentations from NHS England on their health inequality work and their development of an accessible information standard. The agenda includes space for networking and discussing the challenges that delegates face in their work. The afternoon sessions will focus on practical experiences of developing and delivering health information resources and support for communities including minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities.
This 1 day event costs £180 plus VAT to attend (or £120 plus VAT for PiF members). The full agenda and registration details can be found here: http://www.pifonline.org.uk/event-registration/?ee=45 .
