Hello,
I have added some information on the wiki page for the OER World Map use case. [1] Basically, I added the section " Draft RDF application profile & requirements for an RDF AP" which lists all functions the RDF AP was supposed to fulfill and how we implemented these in RDF (if we did at all). Feedback is very welcome.
Below is a list of the requirements, you can find more detailed information on the wiki page.
General requirements:
- Stating the document's type ("application profile")
- Providing information about the AP as a whole
- Provide human-readable description of property/class usage
Requirements for validation:
- Identify an element/class and its relation to AP, indicate the refined property/class
- Define object restrictions for properties
- Define cardinality restrictions for properties
- (X)OR rules
Requirements for building a web application
- Define types of resources to generate web forms for
- Define labels for presentation of properties on webpages/web forms
- Define order of properties for presentation/web form
- Differentiate between text boxes and small input fields
- Define API endpoints to be queried in the web form for interlinking
- Define values to be shown for a linked resource
I hope the language is quite easy to understand. However, I had some problems finding the right terminology for the different requirements an AP should serve. I would be very happy if this group could work towards a shared terminology regarding requirements for RDF APs and an overview over the existing approaches (OWL, OSLC/Resource Shape 2.0 or even the non-RDF Shape Expressions) and which functions of an AP they support. In a next step, I want to take a look at Resource Shape in the light of the the requirements listed.
All the best
Adrian
