Dear Jon,
There hasn't been any explicitly big changes here, but 4.1.7 is now very old.
The "zoomed in" results that you describe sound more like an error, so I would check to see if things have run correctly or not.
All the best,
Mark

I was using FSL-4.1.7-centos5-64 to do some VBM analyses and I had seen that there was a newer version that contained the FSL_anat script. I wanted to try that out so we installed the newest version on our server and everything seems to be working fine. I did re-run some analyses starting from the fslvbm_2_template stage and I noticed that the newest release gives me a vastly different result for my template_4D_GM.nii.gz image. It almost seems as though it's 'zoomed' in on a portion of the brain instead. I haven't changed any of the input files (they're still the same manually brain-extracted images and the initial structural images) and I'm using the same template file, but it gives me different results no matter how many times I've run it. I looked in the version release notes and it doesn't seem like much was changed regarding the registration parameters. Should I go back to using the older version or is there any additional steps that need to be performed using the 5.06 version?
