Two paid 10 weeks psychology internship positions at the University of Nottingham multidisciplinary research institute for graduate or exceptional final year undergraduate students. Please forward this email to any potential candidates or appropriate mailing lists.
Eligibility: Graduate students from University of Nottingham are not eligible to apply. Graduate students from any other university or final year undergraduates both from UoN or other universities are eligible to apply.
The Psychology of Altruism: Data Sharing
Deadline: 9th of May 2014
Start date: As soon as possible
This internship will use a large scale survey to investigate individual differences in motivations to donate personal data for public good. Candidate should have strong experience with statistical data analysis and setting up large-scale online surveys, and knowledge in the field of motivation psychology or/and individual differences.

Psychological mechanisms of digital media affecting political attitudes
Deadline: 23th of May 2014
Start date: mid June to early July 2014.
The project will include ground work for setting up a large scale survey to link people's interpretations of recent political and social events, their attitudes towards current actions politicians are taking towards resolving those issues, as well as their exposure to different types of digital media. Candidate should have strong experience with statistical data analysis and setting up large-scale online surveys, and knowledge or interest in either r several of the research areas: political psychology, individual, group-based and collective emotions, intergroup conflicts.
