Well, now thank you Max, Doug and Bill. I shall put the title of David's

Bill, it was the cryptic crossword in front of me yesterday from The Age. I
thought if I put in the syllables needed, some readers may 'read' them -

I have tried before to write a poem entirely of cryptic clues, but they
have always stumbled at the straight. Maybe I'll take another swing at it
soon.
