I have a dietry intolerance to virtual cake! Only the real thing will do!

Perhaps I could post a picture of a cake? :) A digital cake thus fulfilling the brief!

Perhaps a picture quiz? Suitable pictures (with answers) could be sent to a compiler off list. There have been some strange things over the years. I too think cake is always appropriate, but tricky to share on list.

Personally I find cake goes down very, very well!

How about a competition for the wackiest subject of an email to the list over the last 15 years? Obviously there would have to be an exclusion for any emails submitted from today onwards to avoid HEROs with overactive imaginations from submitting something completely spurious!

Julia

Subject: Friday question - ideas for a birthday celebration

Dear all,

A Friday question with a bit of a difference but definitely on topic :)

This June the HER Forum list celebrates its 15th birthday. This is quite an achievement, especially as the list remains quite active.

It would be great if we could find a way to celebrate this achievement on the list - a digital celebration if you will. So for the week where the birthday falls we'd like to do some on-list activities. We'll be asking you to reminisce about your time on the list, what you like about it etc. (So make sure you save your stories for then!) We will also be asking for you ideas for the future for both the e-mail list and the Forum meetings.

However I'd like to throw this out to you, the subscribers, and ask what you would like to do to mark the occasion? Maybe a special Friday query session or a quiz of sorts?

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

all the best

Sarah
