Mel Davies, Secretary of the AMHA has asked me to send you the
following regarding the organisation of the forthcoming International
Mining History Congress in Charter Towers, Queensland, Australia.
Just a brief note to report that the situation regarding the
organisation of the CT2014 International Mining History Congress is
well under control. Following the death of Dr Kett Kennedy, the
organisation has been taken over by the Australasian Mining History
Association (AMHA). Our President, Ruth Kerr, visited Charters
Towers last week and spoke to the local shire, visited the venues,
etc., and found that everyone will continue to give full support.
Kett Kennedy's Secretary is recovering all the files which she'll
send to me in the next few days, and we have changed the registration
payment system so that people can now pay by credit card. Note that
the Early Bird concession is valid until 30 April. The CT2014
webpage:
will continue to be used, and the link to the new payment system will
be found on the Registration page.
All abstracts and correspondence to be sent to me at
<<mailto:[log in to unmask]>[log in to unmask]>
Kett Kennedy's funeral takes place next Tuesday at Charters Towers.
Regards
Mel
