We are currently recruiting for a commercially aware, self-driven individual who has an appetite for change and a challenge.
We are a rapidly expanding Cumbrian based business and work all over the UK. Traditionally with a background in forestry and arboriculture, we are a software developer for GIS applications focussed on delivering solutions for efficient and cost effective management of trees, green spaces and other land assets. Our clients are typically in the public sector and include Local Authorities, Housing Associations and other landowners. We also offer arboricultural and GIS surveying services and have a team of surveyors deployed across the country.
We are looking for someone who has the experience and maturity to manage the surveying contracts, as well as all the other technical aspects of the job. The role will be interesting, varied and challenging and will include managing the surveying team and contracts across the UK, providing GIS and data management support, Ordnance Survey data management and providing software & technical support and training to existing and new clients.
We are a small company with a huge opportunity for expansion so the right person, with the right transferable skills and attitude is more critical than previous experience of a similar role. We will provide full training to the successful candidate so enthusiasm as well as competency is paramount.
The successful candidate will have four main areas of responsibility;
1 CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
2 GIS SERVICES
3 OS DATA MANAGEMENT
4 SOFTWARE TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Reporting to the Directors, the main duties are detailed below and the Contracts Manager will be set targets and will be expected to prepare Work In Progress reports for weekly meetings and progress reports for monthly Director meetings.
The position will be based at our offices in Carlisle although there will be requirements from time to time for travel to client sites across the UK.
