Dear Colleagues
Id just like to make you our HE Conference as it now open to learning providers across the UK to anyone supported by the Jisc Regional Support Centres and involved with the delivery of HE (HEIs and FE). As it focuses the student experience it has relevance to employability, booking is open until 26 March.

Jisc RSC Higher Education Conference “putting the learner at the centre of their learning” takes place on Thursday 27 March, at Manchester University (The Barnes Building), parking and the train station are close by.
The opening keynote "Enhancing the Learner Experience", delivered by Professor Mark Stubbs, Head of Learning and Research Technologies at Manchester Metropolitan University, will explore how a complete curriculum redesign enhanced the quality of assessment at MMU (This innovative project led to MMU winning of the 'Student Experience award' in the Guardian Higher Education Awards 2013). The closing keynote "Putting tutors at the heart of the system”, delivered by Will Stewart, Distance Learning Adviser and member of the Centre for Educational Development at the University of Bradford, will consider the importance of pedagogy, curriculum design and staff digital literacy in enhancing the student experience and learning opportunities.

Throughout the rest of the programme three simultaneous workshop strands will provide a comprehensive choice and an opportunity for you to personalise your day, attending the sessions of most interest to you. The workshops, all centred on enhancing learner experience, will address topics such as innovative learning spaces and new pedagogies, alternative ways of providing feedback and assessment, using social media effectively, innovative practice via the VLE, making good use of learner voice and using open badges as a way of recognising informal learning.
