Hi Amber,
The OU library has a set of resources that you might find useful: http://www.open.ac.uk/libraryservices/beingdigital/
The blurb says:
Being digital is a collection of short, easy to follow activities. They cover the skills we all need to be effective online, whether it’s searching efficiently, critically evaluating information, communicating and sharing online, or selecting the right online tool for your needs.
Being digital can help you develop essential skills for study, work and lifelong learning.
We are using them a lot with some of our year 1 courses. As for the ones Kate mentioned, they are free to use online, although not CC licensed.
Regards,
Tita

Amber,
In addition to http://www.prepareforsuccess.org.uk, eLanguages at Southampton has also produced The Digital Literacies Toolkit: http://www.elanguages.ac.uk/digital_literacies.php , Not licensed for adaptation, but free to view online.

Colleagues,
Hi! Could you please point me to any openly licensed materials that support students preparing for undergraduate degrees? Study skills but also independent learning for those students away from home for possibly the first time.
Thanking you!
