Hello All
I wonder if anyone has got any useful phrases or suggestions with this - worker on a food production line, several year history of periodic diarrhoea, all tests NAD - stool samples clear, colonoscopy inconclusive, but absence increased due to having to remain off work for 48 hours, now becoming intolerable for Employer.
Clearly could be classed as an exclusion as no suggestion of infection, but best practice (http://multimedia.food.gov.uk/multimedia/pdfs/publication/fitnesstoworkguide09v3.pdf) says to still refrain for 48 hours, so this guy might lose his job, I went through the normal things with him, diet stress etc. They already had GP report confirming negative stool specimens.
Obviously in my report I will suggest alternative role if feasible etc but anyone got any other suggestion?
Many thanks
Kind regards
Wendy
