Hi Nick
Do you have a recording of this webinar?
This was very short notice, and also working in an open-plan office isn't really conducive to listening to /watching this sort of thing,
I also forgot about it when the time came.

Subject: [MCG] Free Collections Trust webinar, 12.00 - 13.00 today, 'Buying Collections Management Software'
Dear colleagues,
With apologies for cross-posting, but I just wanted to flag that the Collections Trust is running a free webinar for our museum, archive and library networks between 12.00 and 13.00 today on the subject of 'Buying Collections Management Software'.
The webinar is supported by the Arts Council England and the SPECTRUM Partners, and is being led by Nico Tyack, Documentation Officer at Edinburgh City Council.
Subjects to be covered in the webinar include:
- The role played by a CMS in the management of a museum collection, and reasons for changing it
- The CMS procurement process, including identification of system requirements
- The range of software systems available
- The relevance of SPECTRUM Compliance to the procurement of CMS systems
- Tips on where to start with the procurement process
The webinar will be relevant to anyone that is either in the process of or considering procuring a system or who would like to understand the benefits of SPECTRUM Compliance.
Full information on how to join the webinar is on Collections Link at http://www.collectionslink.org.uk/buying-collections-management-software.
I do hope as many of you as possible will join us at midday today!
Yours sincerely,
Nick Poole
