Dear all
[with apologies for cross posting]
can you please help assessing some assumptions I am writing about in a forthcoming publication?
You just have to check how many items / records in your catalogue have been classified using the following codes either with Dewey
or with Moys, specifying also the total number of items your collection consists of and what version of the classification do you
use.
To make it simpler, please reply to me privately answering here (delete the * and write your answer):
- NAME OF THE LIBRARY / INSTITUTION = **************************************
- COLLECTION CONSISTENCY (TOTAL NUMBER OF ITEMS) = ************************
If you use DCC:
- What edition of the DCC do you currently use? = ***************************
- NUMBER OF ITEMS CLASSIFIED AS DCC 658.473 = **************************
- NUMBER OF ITEMS CLASSIFIED AS DCC 364.163 = **************************
- NUMBER OR ITMES CLASSIFIED AS DCC 658.478 = **************************
If you use MOYS:
- What edition of the Moys classification do you currently use? = ****************
- NUMBER OF ITEMS CLASSIFIED UNDER MOYS KM 547 = **********************
- NUMBER OF ITEMS CLASSIFIED AS MOYS KN 264.8 = ************************
All valid replies will be credited! so be sure to specify name of the Library / Institution and where is available also the URL of
your catalogue.
Add any additional note or consideration you think the data may require to be properly considered in respect of a specific context.
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
