GeoLytix is currently a team of five, having a great time supporting many of the UK’s largest retailers to determine their best multi-channel location strategy. We’re ambitious and looking to grow quickly over the next few years but we’ll never lose our small company mentality, which is part of who we are.
Are you our next Senior Modeller?
You’ll be working with the thought leaders in spatial analysis, and we’re looking forward to finding out what we can learn from you. The role can be fit around your strengths, whether that is geo-demographics, response modelling or gravity modelling but you’ll have the chance to build on your current skills, and acquire others you haven’t managed to learn yet. You’ll need to be a ‘people person’ and work well with our customers as you will lead projects on your own in the future.
About You
You’re a modeller – your idea of a good day is receiving huge amounts of data and working out how customers are going to behave
You like data, you’ll be creating some great new datasets
You want to be original – you don’t want to do the same old, same old. You’re consistently looking for innovation.
You know all the standard statistical techniques and when to use them e.g. why standard regression is often not a good idea in spatial scenarios
You know your way around a GIS
You enjoy the world of retail, and have a good grasp of UK geography
You know enough about programming so that you’re quick and efficient, anything you don’t know you can quickly grasp
Your qualifications and experience
Modelling & Statistical Analysis experience, ideally customer related
A university degree – numbers based, Computer Science or Geography
Relevant industry sector knowledge ideal but not essential
Other stuff
The role can be full time, part time or a job share
We don’t have an office at the moment but are looking to locate in the South next year where we would expect you to work 1 – 2 days a week. The balance will be a mix of working from home and working on-site.
You’ll need to be flexible and travel where our customers are. In return we will also be flexible.
Send your CV and covering email to [log in to unmask] – we’re looking forward to hearing from you.
