Hi,
I am a graduate student at the University of Kentucky and I am attempting to segment rodent brains with FAST and have been seemingly successful. However I have been using the a-priori probability maps and registering the rodent brain image to the standard tissue-type probability map from the MNI152 dataset. Is this an acceptable means of segmentation? I am wondering if using a human brain probability map is an unacceptable means of segmentation even though it seems to work very well.
Any help that you give will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Heather
