The newly established University Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and it provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.
The very large-scale data that are increasingly available provide the opportunity for many exciting and extensive investigations but require well-structured data manipulation and statistical programming to yield their full potential. We are seeking to recruit a statistical programmer with excellent programming skills and knowledge and interest in epidemiology and associated statistics, to support and develop the use of large-scale resources. You will have a sound grounding in the design and development of advanced SAS statistical analysis programming and be competent to lead SAS training sessions for new researchers, as well as to work on investigations and develop your own skills as new data require further techniques. You will have PhD or MSc in a numerate or computational discipline a good understanding of a range of statistical concepts and techniques and peer reviewed publications.

The post is full-time and is fixed term for two years in the first instance.
