With the forthcoming centenary commemorations of the start of the First World War this year, the University of Sunderland will be hosting a series of events including a public lecture by Kate Adie on the afternoon of Saturday 5th April in the Tom Cowie Lecture Theatre, St Peter's Campus, Sunderland. Kate will be talking about her research into women on the home front in the First World War, and will be signing copies of her book on this topic after the talk. This event is a repetition of a similar talk she gave a couple of months ago which was considerably over-subscribed so we are delighted that Kate has agreed to come back again.
Although there is no charge for attending this event, it is ticket-only entry. If you are interested in attending, then tickets are available at:
