The Royal College of Art has been working with FACT in Liverpool on a
fascinating exhibition about the impact of digital media on our working

On 6 March we're hosting a series of discussions and book launch at the RCA
in Battersea. The Time & Motion - Redefining Working Life book has been
published by Liverpool University Press and has a series of essays about
art, work, labour, value, digitisation, shifts and social transformation.

Same evening at Battersea we will have a special screening of 'The Big Melt
- How Steel Made Us Hard' a film
made by directors Martin Wallace and Jarvis Cocker reflecting on working
life when steel was driving English industry and drawing in an
extraordinary way on British Film Institute digital archive footage.
