Mike - in case of any interest at all, Mia Ridge and I worked on a WP plugin that brought in records from Europeana at a Europeana hack day at the BL. We did the work in just a few hours so obviously it is very rough and ready, but the code is at https://github.com/mialondon/Share-what-you-see if you want to have a look

>> We already submit data to Culture Grid, History Pin, Your Paintings and are keen to do more of this - applying an API-approach could enable us to do more, better and more efficiently. Culture Grid has been a great way for use to engage with Europeana through the project Partage Plus - I'd recommend Culture Grid to anyone looking to promote their collections online not only in the UK but as a means to getting on Europeana.

>> I agree also with Stephen's (BFI) comment on training to demystify API by the major suppliers. We use MimsyXG here (now in merger with Adlib and CALM as part of Axiell) so perhaps there's scope for current museum users to get together (London seems the common venue) to do a practical show-and-tell of their API wares? Interested, venue?
