Thanks, Norma.
Has anyone else experienced this problem (below) with the new WoS interface?
When trying to identify a cluster of papers by a given author, it used to be possible to click on the author's name in the 'full-record' (article) page. Now, it appears, that clicking on the author's name takes the searcher to a 'super-set' of all authors with that surname + first initial. Here is an example:
Having located a paper by Stern, Nicholas (the Structure of Economic Modeling of the Potential Impacts of Climate Change...." we would like use the "Find more records by this author" function, by clicking on the author's name.
When we click on Stern, N., however, we get 673 papers.
This appears to be the total of all papers by all combinations <Stern, N.> in the database - not the sub-set of papers by the author of the paper above.
This function used to work in the pre-January version of WoS.
Has anybody else encountered this?
With best wishes,
Thomas
