Hi Charlotte
Great to see the standard is finally delivering! From the surveys you seem to be one of the few libraries that are doing this but it IS the reason we worked so hard to get the standard supported by UK suppliers and it's really heartening to see it working!!
I think Goldsmiths installation may predate the standard - and using the ISIL is no guarantee that they are using 28560-2 either. The best way to check is to have the tags verified.

Some items such as software that allows you to adjust your Self-issue settings and read stats from a distance is supplier specific. Don't believe the sales pitches - have a look at equipment in use if you can find a friendly library nearby.

Would we need to change all equipment including the detection gates? Will our current tags work - they include the BL isil number so I presume they are the latest standard? We have problems with the units dropping the network especially when it gets busy - is this a problem across all suppliers? Is anyone happy to recommend their supplier? All advice gratefully received.
