Another alternative approach using a control prog would be to use a manual macro and a single switch which would step through a series of Ir codes like, for instance, a list of Tv channels. All depends upon what you need to control.
We've made a multi 3.5mm socket device to 7 din plug to operate with scan switch short cuts as below.

Hi Emma
You can use Scan-Switch Shortcuts (page 31 in the manual) on a Control Prog to do the same thing. Not as cheap and a little bit of setup required initially, but you have the advantage that you can set different sets of IR codes on each level, so one device can work for multiple users/scenarios…
Cheers

Subject: Big Jack Alternative
Hi All
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for an alternative to the Big Jack. It has been discontinued and we are looking for an alternative very simple switch IR controller with multiple switch ports that doesn’t require the cognitive ability to scan.
Many thanks in advance!
