NIHR Research Design Service, South Central
We are seeking a Senior Research Advisor with an ability to provide high quality research design advice and support to investigators applying for research grants (particularly NIHR Research Programmes and Fellowships). You will join an established team in the NIHR Research Design Service (RDS) South Central, located in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton.
The NIHR RDS South Central team includes research advisors with expertise in medical statistics, clinical trials, qualitative research, health economics, epidemiology and public, patient involvement in research. The RDS South Central co-ordinating is based in Southampton but we also have sites at the University of Oxford, University of Oxford Brookes and University of Portsmouth. We also work very closely with Clinical Trials Units in the region.
You may have expertise in any of the areas of medical statistics, mixed methodology, qualitative research or epidemiology. You will possess excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of what is required to produce a high quality grant application in the support of investigators applying for research grants and fellowships.
There will be opportunities to work with statisticians / qualitative researchers / epidemiologists in the Faculty, the wider University and our other RDS sites.
