Also try contacting Anne Marshall of http://www.paintedchurch.org/ (her email address is on the front page of the web site) - she's always been very helpful when I've wanted to use her images.
The background of the St Christopher at Cottered - http://www.paintedchurch.org/cottered.htm - is particularly wonderful (and includes a rather battered mill) - it may reflect the actual landscape around the church.
Ellie Pridgeon is of course the expert on this.

The reason for my quest for saints and mills and millers is that I'm preparing a note for the Journal of the International Molinological (i.e. Mills) Society and/or the Welsh Mills Society.
Does anyone have a (good) image of the windmill on the St Christopher wallpainting at Llanynys, north Wales, or anywhere else?
Gerallt

Winnoc also has a cult in SE Wales and the March.
Gerallt, why are you after this?

I had meant to add that this miracle is also in Winnoc's later eleventh-century _Vita secunda_ (BHL 8954). In modern centuries Winnoc has been a patron saint of millers.
Best again,
John Dillon

In a miracle recounted in his earliest Vita (the eighth- or ninth-century _Vitae Audomari, Bertini, Winnoci_; BHL 763 and, for the part devoted to Winnoc, 8952), when his failing strength prevented the elderly saint from grinding grain for his monastic community God performed this task for him.
