The British Library offers a great (free) service (with good advice on hand
too) with the ability to make a (typically limited) number of free downloads
of reports. Experian is included in the range of databases they offer

Typically the most valuable resources are only available via walk in access

Subject: FW: Credit ratings of mortgage-backed securities
Dear all,
A student on a masters course here has asked for information on
mortgage-backed securities, specifically credit ratings (measure of mortgage
borrowers ability to repay).
We don't have access to this type of information via our subscribed
electronic resources, but guess he'd need to request the information from a
credit rating agency, such as Experian. I'm also guessing such information
comes at a price.
If anybody knows of any good free sources for this type of information,
please let me know. I will summarize any answers for the list.
