ONS have today launched a consultation asking for your views on the country groupings used in international migration statistics reporting and data tables:
http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/about-ons/get-involved/consultations/consultations/country-groupings-in-international-migration-statistics/country-groupings-consultation.pdf
A variety of country groupings are currently used across different government departments and some groupings have become less relevant as trends in international migration have changed over time. Given the commitment to provide a coherent picture of international migration trends from across the different data available, the departments would like to harmonise the groupings used in the reporting of migration statistics.
The consultation will close on 18 March 2014.
