On behalf of the RSS General Applications Section, we would like to invite you to register for the meeting
"New Challenges for Observational Studies"
which will be taking place between 1:00-5:15pm on Wednesday 12 February at the RSS offices in London.
We have four excellent speakers who will be talking about their recent work on addressing some of the new challenges facing the analysis of data from observational databases.
The speakers are:
Katie Harron (Centre for Paediatric Epidemiology and Biostatistics, UCL Institute of Child Health) “An overview on record matching methods”
Paul Henry John Donachie (The Royal College of Ophthalmologist’ National Ophthalmology Database, Cheltenham General Hospital, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire) “The National Ophthalmology Database: challenges of linkage, analysis and interpretation of results”
Dr Andrew Roddam (Vice President & Head, Worldwide Epidemiology, GSK) “Observational studies in drug development and commercialisation”
Dr Pia Hardelid (Centre for Paediatric Epidemiology and Biostatistics, UCL Institute of Child Health) “Linkage and analysis of child mortality and hospital records”
