Colleagues,
Some of you remember that about 18 months ago, as part of my PhD, I asked for your help in identifying healthcare students (e.g. nursing, midwifery, medical, OT, Physio etc) who use an ePortfolio and could take part in my data gathering.
Whilst I got a good response from you I would like to follow this up by asking any healthcare students you deal with to complete a Bristol online survey (BoS), and if they agree take part in an interview that, unlike my first request, does not require me to access their ePortfolio. This can be students you previously gave me access to or students who you now think could participate.
The online questionnaire is designed to explore
1. What effect does the use of ePortfolios have on how health care students learn?
2. What impact does ICT the vehicle for ePortfolios have on learning?
3. Is the quality and quantity of learning that takes place amongst students influenced by the use of ePortfolios and ICT?
4. Identify any unique elements of the ePortfolio related to health care education.
I have received ethical approval from my University (Huddersfield) to undertake this research and wondered if you could help?
If you are willing to distribute the BoS link, which as I said includes an invite for the students to participate in a follow up face-to-face or email interview, then could you email me at [log in to unmask] and I will send you further details.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Regards,
Niall
