A very happy new year to all MCGers and a first favour-request of 2014...
I'm currently looking at the relationship between physical visitors to our building and our online visitors (numerically in the first place) and trying to get a sense of whether the relationship between the two (roughly 2:1 web:irl) and trends (higher online visitor figures follow the peaks & troughs of physical visits driven by temporary exhibitions) is typical of other museums and cultural venues.
So I wonder whether any of you might be able to share with me two related pieces of information:
* The number of GA-measured web visits for a year-long period as close to the year 1 Oct 2012 - 30 Sep 2013 as possible
* The number of physical visits to your venue(s) for the same time period
This is in reasonable confidence: the data will be shared internally with a small number of senior colleagues; please reply off-list & I won't summarise for the list.
If I'm being thick & there there's a forum where anything like this is shared, please do slap my wrist and point me there. I've looked at Museum Analytics (www.museum-analytics.org<http://www.museum-analytics.org>) but the data there seems to be a couple of years out of date
Thanks in advance for your kind and generous help.
Danny
