Gathering the views of authors, the Open Access survey conducted by Taylor & Francis in the final weeks of 2012, and the early part of 2013 elicited over 14, 700 responses. This was the largest single survey that the Research & Business Intelligence team has conducted to date. With over 10 additional supplements, the wealth of data can often seem overwhelming to some. Therefore we have consolidated the results of the Open Access Survey into an easily digestible Infographic. This means that the key findings from the survey, listed below, are represented by pictures and can be viewed at a glance:
-Benefits of Open Access
- Creative Commons Preferences
- Adaptability of text and data mining
- Preferred and least preferred license by country
- Peer review Preferences
Victoria Gardner, our Open Access Publisher comments: ‘The Infographic provides a snapshot of our authors’ attitudes into the rapidly changing and exciting world of Open Access. We hope this visualization of OA survey results will be able to reach all interested parties in an accessible, concise and visually pleasing format.’
