Hi all,
We are writing to invite you to take part in our research project aimed at understanding the experiences of Postgraduate Research Students with disabilities. This is an under-explored area, and we are trying to understand the difficulties students with disabilities face in their everyday study and leisure in Higher Education and in turn, the ways in which we can make University life more enjoyable and inclusive.
If you would like to take part, you will have the choice of participating in a small focus group or a one to one interview (this can be via Skype) with a researcher, during which we will discuss your experiences as a disabled postgraduate research student. We would like to hear about your experiences, and your views on how the support currently provided might be improved going forwards. We are planning to run the workshops and interviews early this year, but we are flexible with dates. All participants would have any travel expenses reimbursed, as well as receiving a £20 retail gift voucher for taking part.
To become involved or to find out more, please get in touch with Reuben Kirkham ([log in to unmask]).
Best wishes,
Reuben, Ko-Le, Mary and John
