Following the first international expert meeting on Black British Women's

students the chance to come together to debate some of the continuing

60-minute panel proposals that engage with, but are not limited to, the

Dear all,
Attached please find the final draft of the special issue.
We are going to upload the entire PDF in this form before the end of 2013
because one of the contributors needs to include her article as part of a
REF submission (with a deadline of the year ending in 2013). This is rather
unorthodox as contributors would normally have a final approval before going
live. I know that all of you have already seen your text in layout and made
revisions as needed, but it is always nice to have one last check to make
sure that everything is in order. As such, I just want to make sure that
everyone is happy with the issue.
Could I ask you to check the description of your article in the introduction
and make sure that it is fine? Please also confirm back your acceptance or
any revisions by January 15, 2014 (sooner if possible).
I have spent several days trying to get all of the notes in order so that
they are consistent, but if you notice any issues, please do let me know. We
can make minor revisions as needed in the new year (i.e. to correct any
errors). I will not promote the special issue until I hear back from you to
confirm that you are happy with the introduction and your article.
Please note that we do not normally include the abstracts in the issue as a
whole (as such they are not included in the pagination), but I have left
them in the attached PDF so that you can check them. For the initial upload
of the PDF, I have left the abstracts in the PDF. However, we intend to
upload each article / creative submission individually; then the abstract
will be included for referencing purposes with the individual files, but not
in the special issue as a whole.
Thank you again for your submission. Please do get in touch if you have any
questions or concerns. I hope you enjoy reading this interdisciplinary
special issue.
Happy holidays!
Regards, Wendy Knepper and Sandra Courtman
