Hi,
Following a conversation that started on Twitter, I am co-co-ordinating a meetup in London (in the first instance*), for people who are interested in Digital Preservation and would like to discuss all things DP over a pint, a cocktail, a cup of tea or other beverages of choice. This initial meeting will be in central London, as this seems to be the location that the majority of people who were first interested (including myself) would find easiest to get to.
I've set up a Doodle poll, which is accessible here - http://www.doodle.com/p52i5ufd498bk465 - so that you can register interest and show dates/times that would work for you. This should give an idea of the number of people that are interested, and once I can find (with help!) a suitable venue.
Anyone who has any interest in Digital Preservation is welcome - just fill in the dates/times that suit you so we can go with the time/date that suits most people for the meetup.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone else you know who might be interested.
*There has been a suggestion of holding another meetup at York and/or other venues if people are interested - we are not London-centric, just testing this out in London to begin with!
Best wishes,
Steph
