Public Engagement and Impact Manager. Fixed term position at Bournemouth University.
Starting salary from £31,644 - £36,661 per annum with further progression opportunities to £40,046
We are looking for a creative, proactive and enthusiastic Public Engagement and Impact Manager to work alongside our academic staff to communicate complex research ideas with the public. You will direct all BU public engagement events, including the annual Festival of Learning, by providing operational management and direction for the design, promotion, delivery and evaluation of the events. You will be responsible for monitoring institutional impact and performance, supporting academics with public engagement initiatives, and being a champion for public engagement within the institution.
You will have experience of working in a creative environment and using different media outputs for different audiences, with an awareness of the research environment and the higher education public engagement agenda. You will have outstanding communication and organisational skills and have creativity, imagination and flair.
This post is offered as a 12 month fixed term/secondment opportunity to cover another secondment.
