Next Generation of Web of Science Training - Free courses around the UK.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thomson Reuters are excited to introduce several key enhancements to the
Web of Science that will help their users transform the way they search
for and assess the quality of research content.
*Easier Research Discovery* - Web of Science and Google Scholar are
forging a unique collaboration to make the Web of Science instantly
discoverable and bringing the power of our citation connections to the
open web.
*More Comprehensive Citation Content* - Users will benefit from access
to more regional content with the addition of SciELO to Web of Science
with more regional indexes planned for 2014.
*A Better Research Tool* - the Web of Science interface has been
redesigned to provide users with a more intuitive and easier search
experience – while maintaining the advanced search capabilities our
seasoned researchers and power users expect. With the needs of the
researcher in mind, our January release will provide a simpler search
and discovery environment all branded under the banner of the *Web of
Science*.
To support this enhancement process Mimas, in conjunction with Thomson
Reuters are providing a series of * free * training sessions at UK
academic institutions hosted around the UK. The course is aimed at
library and research support staff.
