Academic Libraries : The Final Frontier – to boldly go where you have never been before
• Call for papers opens Monday 7th October 2013
• Call for papers closes Friday 6th December 2013
• Notification of acceptance – by Friday 20th December 2013
We require a 500 word abstract (which will be sent to a panel of reviewers)
A PC with Internet access and PowerPoint will be available to presenters. Please make clear if you need access to any other facilities (this can be indicated on the abstract submission form)
The ARLG conference has always offered excellent best practice workshops from library and information practitioners working in the Further and Higher Education sectors. All workshop presentations should address one or more of the conference themes and focus on innovation and new ways of working particularly where library services had been required to change or adapt to new environments and service delivery models.
• Electronic resources / Resource discovery
• Shared services initiatives (enquiry management, library management systems, procurement and acquisitions, etc.)
• Quality assurance and performance measurement
• Library and learning spaces
• Teaching and learning activity (induction, information literacy, etc.)
• Research support (open access publishing, institutional repositories, research skills, research data management, etc.)
• Accessibility (DDA, assistive technologies, etc.)
• Continuing professional development (staff training and development initiatives)
