Dear all,
At Royal Holloway we have been looking into whether we should remove limits on the number of ILLs a user can submit, allowing users to submit as many requests as they wish.
We currently operate a voucher number system where departments receive an allocation at the beginning of each academic session, based on a budget formula. The ILL budget forms part of the Library budget and users are not charged. It is up to each department to allocate voucher numbers.
We would like to ask the list:
Are there any libraries that place no restrictions on the number of ILL requests any one individual can make? Or any that are considering this? What problems, if any, do you encounter from this and how is the cost met?
Many thanks,
Kind regards,
Luisa.
