A qualified Archivist is required to help run a busy Record Office in the city of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the entire archive collection holds designated status. Working alongside the Principal Archivist, you will help provide a full range of archive services to over 3,000 visitors per year, assist with the care of the collection as well as handling nearly 3,000 postal, telephone, and e-mail enquiries from the public and other Council departments.
Applicants must have an MA in Archive Administration or equivalent. Experience in a local government record office/archive is desirable, as is familiarity with IT systems for archives. This post will involve delivering a paid research service.
